to observe the new Quidditch rules: day one is for arriving to the
pitch, after which the referee will post and the game can properly
begin and chasers can no longer immediately state that they have
scored. They must wait for the Keeper to post. See the howler in the

Elana

(RAVENCLAW BEATER)

(Assuming you mean Sunday the 18th, not Tuesday the 20th.)

Springing up from her bed, Elana yelled, "QUIDDITCH TIME!"

Her dormies that weren't part of the team groaned and pulled their pillows and covers over their heads to deter further shouting, but those of the team...well, groaned and pulled their pillows and covers over their heads as well. Elana hadn't been able to sleep much the night before, and was therefore running on the adrenaline that came of knowing there was a game and that they'd won five of the six games they'd played. The energy gained from that was enough to bound over to each of her teammate's beds and pull off the covers and, when needed, push them off of the bed.

"Let's just all get out there today, all right?" she said after everyone had staggered to their feet. Most were looking at her blankly, yawning. Sensing the need for enthusiasm, she said perkily, "We can do this! Come on! Get ready! It's a, it's a beautiful day!"

That wasn't really a lie. It was beautiful outside, with the frost coating every surface, making everything sparkle in the dim sunlight. But cold, cold, cold it would be. "Don't forget your scarves and hats and everything," she reminded them, pulling her own out. After she got dressed and quickly ran a brush through her hair, she pulled it into a low ponytail, popped a hat on over it and bounded down the staircases and corridors until getting to the Great Hall. She poured a bit of hot chocolate into a mug and grabbed a few muffins before heading out to the pitch. Eating on the way, Elana hurried to the locker room, not liking this cold.

Once in the locker room, she finished up her breakfast and got on her Quidditch robes over her sweats. She rewrapped her scarf before taking her broom and bat out of her locker, strapping on her wrist, elbow, and knee guards, and then left the locker room. And brr, was it cold out there! But Elana pushed that thought aside as she swung a leg over her broom and kicked off from the frost covered ground. She settled in to wait for her team, who should be on their way.

ElladoraZeller

(Ravenclaw Seeker)

Elladora moaned and rooled over in bed as she heard Elana cheering. She sat up slowly, bit ended sitting on her really long dark hair and rolled over, grabbing her hair and braiding it over her shoulder. she massaged her scalp and walked over to the window.
"Snow!" Elladora exclaimed. "It's snowing! It's snowing! Everybody wake up!" But no one really cared that an overly-hyper girl wanted to play in the snow. And someone threw a pillow at her. Elladora picked it up off the ground and tossed it back on the bed that it came from.

Elladora got dressed quickly in her warmest pants and long-sleeved T-shirt before putting on her black robes and making her way out of the dorms. She spotted at the kitchens on her way down and ate a small, healthy breakfast before going out onto the Quidditch pitch.
Not ten minutes later, Elladora was trudgin through the frost trying to get to the locker rooms and soon as possible. Her Quidditch gear was much warmer than this. She burst into the locker rooms and went straight to her locker.

"Hello, Elana," Elladora greeted politely before taking off her robes and putting on her Seeker robes. She slipped her hands into her gloves and unbraided her hair before putting a hat on. Now, her slightly wavy hair would keep her warmer. "All set," Elladora told Elana, grabbing her Firebolt.

Rigby Dumbledore

{Ravenclaw Keeper}- I FINALLY closed the voting, Elana, your captain- seize you're new title!

Rigby woke with a start. She'd been having a nightmare, which wasn't unusual given that she was watching a lot of horror in Supernatural seasons one through two. Even the hotness of Jensen Ackles couldn't completely chase away the spectra of haunted dolls and killer clowns. Rigby shivered in the cold dorm room. Walking to the window she attempted to look outside, but the pane was covered in frost. Much like herself. She glanced to where Elana and Elladora slept, and realizing that empty beds this early meant a quidditch game, she muttered an oath as she hopped across the frozen floor boards to where her bath items were stashed.

Ten minutes later, warmed by the steaming hot water, Rigby emerged squeaky clean. She quickly blow dried her hair as this was no weather to go outside with wet hair. She sprayed some Madame Snafu's Quik Dry Hair Gloss and soon her hairy was shiny and dry. Smiling at her reflection in the foggy mirror, Rigby quickly applied some blue sparkly mascara and a small temporary tattoo of her house crest to her right cheek.

The she grabbed a danish from her stash of treats, stole a Starbucks cup of steaming something from a first year Raven, after all, she was only helping the student support her house team. Rigby was pleasantly surprised to discover Peppermint Hot Chocolate in the cup, as it was her favorite. Not only did she have the best housemates, but they were also blessed with good Starbucks taste buds. How lucky could she get?

Hitting the Ravenclaw locker room, Rigby proceeded to put her quidditch robes over her thick blue sweater and turtleneck, and layer of long johns. She was overheated inside the castle, so hopefully the chilly air would be a welcome relief. Alas, as she stepped onto the pitch, broom in hand, she slipped on some ice. Some Slytherin first year, no doubt, had conveniently spilled a large quantity of water right in her pathway, which the cold air immediatly froze. Although she suspected a freezing spell, Rigby kept her cool, kept her wand in her pocket, and after several failed attempts, managed to get back on her feet and hop on her broomstick...

Only to slide right off it! Her broom had suspiciously become covered in ice! Rigby was furious! If she weren't such a good girl there would have been some killing curses flying in the pitch. Instead Rigby ignored the snickers of the barbaric yet childish Slytherins, and muttered a quick melting spell. She then took to the air before the brats could play anymore pranks.

"Elana! Oh, Captain, My Captain!" she yelled to the Ravenclaw beater. She also waved hi to Elladora. The air was frosty, and even the early comers to the game appeared to covered in a thin layer of frost. Rigby hoped the game would be over quickly.

Elana

(RAVENCLAW BEATER...CAPTAIN!!!!!!!)

"Hey Ella!" Elana replied, grinning. "Ready to knock the socks off of those Huffle's feet with our skill?" She giggled - giggled! Now, whatever you might think, Elana was not usually a giggler. She was more of a big laugher, but this early morning giddiness would hopefully be enough to get her through the game. It'd worked before - nothing could get her down when she was in this mood. Just then, Kate flew up with something that would improve her mood even more.

"C-c-captain?" Elana said, bemused. The realization settling in, she grew more excited, exclaiming, "Me? Seriously?! HA!" She threw her head back and laughed, a good belly laugh, much more like her than the earlier giggle. This was amazing! A thought striking her, she dug around in the pockets of her Quidditch robes until finding one of the plastic crowns that the team had received at the end of the last season. It'd been a great party, and she'd kept the crown, y'know, just in case something like this ever happened. She put it on over her hat, hardly believing her good fortune. Now that she was crowned captain, Elana couldn't stop grinning.

It was going to be a good day, whether they won or lost.

(Ravenclaw Chaser- Sub)

Stephy was awoken by the sound of the Ravenclaw Qudditch team awaking and getting ready for their match against Hufflepuff. Stephy placed her pillow onto of her head hoping to drown out the sound as she tried to get some more beauty sleep that she much needed. Just than one of the first years came up to her telling her that she was needed to sub for a chaser

"Go away." Stephy said as she rolled over in bed but than a fourth year came by and used used a hovering spell to knock her off of her bed. Stephy was laying on the floor tangle in her blankets. "Okay I'm up. I'm getting ready" Stephy than spent the next half hour trying to get fried from the blankets.

Once she was free, Stephy pulled out her qudditch stuff from under her bed and had to dust them off. It seemed like ages since she last played Chaser, must of been about two years ago. She pulled out her robes and threw them on glad that they still fit. She than placed on her gloves and than took a quick glance outside seeing most snow.

"Snow" Stephy groaned as she pulled out her trunck and got some scarves and hat with the Ravenclaw colors. "I'm so going to freeze to death or be murdered by the other team." she said as she started to look for her broom which she found hiding under her bed. She retrived her broom and ran down the staircase runnig into many students as she did so. Just as she was about to run through the double doors, Stephy tripped over a Slytherin and she hoped that she wouldnt be playing against their team in the next game she played in.

Stephy jumped to her feet trying to put as much distance between her and the Slytherin who was giving her looks as if he wanted to kill her. "Geez calm down" Stephy said. Stephy quickly ran through the doors and than a wall of cold hit her right in the face. "So cold" Stephy complained as she jumped on her broom seeing ice everywhere. She didnt want to risk falling and hurting herself before the match started. Stephy zoomed right down to the picth and saw that the field was dominated by ravenclaws.

"Whoo Hoo go ravenclaw" Stephy said punching her fitst into the air but almost fell off of her broom as she did so. "So I can see this is going to end horribly for me" Stephy said to herself as she fought to stay on top of her broom.

Violet walked down the hall, her green scarf tight around her neck and her green mittens on her hands. Her hair had been parted and braided into pigtails. But you could rarely tell because of the hat she had on. No way was she going outside in the freezing cold without her favorite school clothing. Humming, she grabbed some coffee from the Great Hall and made her way outside. It had been awhile since she showed her face but dang gone it, she would learn to get better at it! She didn’t see many people outside as she made her way to the stand that she had abandoned since her first time commenting a game.

“I’m sorry wuve.” She said, setting her coffee down and hugging on a pole. “I know, I would have missed me to if I were you.” She cooed, ignoring the looks she got from others. Who cared what they thought, she was allowed to have at least a ‘I’m crazy and in love with this stand and this piece of wood’ moment if she liked. Turning on her mike, she cleared her throat and taking a sip of her coffee.

“Holy Crack Monkey! THAT’S HOT!” She shouted, dropping her mike and it making a long thump on the floor. She groaned and tried not to reach for her foot or her tongue. She wasn’t sure which hurt worse. The burning or the dropping. Trying to push it to the back of her mind, she picked her mike up again. “Welcome to the 16 house game! THE HUFFIES AND THE RAVIES FIGHT TO WIN THIS GAME!!!! But it looks like maybe these ravies will win seeing as no Huffie is out.!” She shouted, looking around,

Shrugging her shoulders, she looked back at the players on the field. “And it looks like we have Elana! And Dora! And…RIGBY! Last time I checked, she was captain, but it looks like Lana stole- I mean, took over full rights. And speaking over Lana, she is a beater by the way…maybe I should be scared of my like? But Rigby is keeper…so maybe she will keep her? I don’t know…and Dora..is seeker. So she will seek her.” She mumbled to herself.

(Ravenclaw Seeker)

Elladora laughed at Violet's commentating and Elana's mini-crown, while trying to properly mount her broom in the snow. She finally managed to get a good grip on it and flew up into the pitch. Elladora circled the stadium three times, then began slowly revolving on the spot before stopping to ascend another thirty feet. At her peek, she dove down and pulled out, glad her broomstick was every bit as reliable as she hoped.

Getting back up in elevation, Elladora streched in streamline postition and was glad that her Seeker robes were light and that she'd be able to zoom around to keep warm.

Raistlin The Wizard

(Referee)

Raistlin rushed to the pit carrying the wooden box with the Quidditch Balls. Quickly putting it on
the ground and tipping it with his wand it flew open and the balls went soaring.

Getting up in his broom he flew to the middle of the pitch, released the Quaffle and blew the whistle.

"Game started!"

(RAVENCLAW BEATER CAPTAIN)

"All righty, Ravens," Elana called. "There aren't any Hufflepuffs here yet, but that doesn't mean this time should be wasted. Let's practice some maneuvers, teamwork ones since there are a lot of us out here. Ella, want to work on the Devious Dove with me? We haven't done that one for a while. Want to make sure my aim's on and you get used to pulling up at the right time."

The Devious Dove was a Ravenclaw trick used by a Seeker and Beater to deceive the opposing Seeker. While the Beater collected a Bludger, the Seeker would suddenly take off as if he or she had seen the Snitch. The Seeker would fly towards one of the spectators stands, but low enough so that none of the watchers could be hurt. The other Seeker's attention would be caught and cause him or her to fly after the Ravenclaw Seeker. The Beater would then hit the Bludger at the opposing Seeker once top speed had been reached. The Ravenclaw Seeker would have to pull up quickly to avoid running into the stand or being run into by their opponent, and the opponent would have a Bludger behind and the spectators stand in front. Stuck, the Seeker most likely ends up getting hit.

Keeping all of this in mind, Elana flew off to find a Bludger.

(Ravenclaw Seeker)

"Right," Elladora said, zooming off around the pitch towards the Ravenclaw side. She pulled to a stop and made like she had seen the Snitch on the Hufflepuff side to start out the Devious Dove.

Elladora swooped around to go over the spectators stands, keeping her distance, but still rather close, and waited for the on-coming Bludger. As she kept flying at top speed, she narrowed her body down, closer to her broomstick so she could accelerate faster and pull out of the swoop with ease.

(RAVENCLAW BEATER CAPTAIN)

Elana caught up to a Bludger circling the pitch and lightly tapped it so as to bump it forwards a bit. Now that it was going in the direction she needed, right towards Ella, Elana followed it along, making sure to keep tabs on it at all times. If they were actually performing this move against another team and the Bludger went its own way, the results could be disastrous. Ella could crash into the stands because the Bludger had never come, causing injury and the loss of their Seeker. No; keeping the Bludger with her was a must. Once she was near enough, Elana swung back her arm and hit the Bludger down towards Ella.

The Bludger zoomed downwards, straight towards their Seeker. As it was closing the distance, Elanan hovered above, biting her lip. If they could pull this off, they'd have another maneuver in the bag, ready to be pulled out when needed. They were working on their bag of tricks, gearing up for the closing games of the season. Come on, Ella!

(Ravenclaw Chaser)
Polly rushed down towards the pitch her kit flying out behind her as she rushed into the changing rooms and hurriedly changed into her kit. Yawning she grabbed hold of her broom and trudged towards the pitch.

Giving a small wave of acknowledgement to the crowd Polly placed the broom in between her legs and kicked of from the ground.
The wind whirled around her as her hair whipped across her face the cool air surprisingly comfortable. Like wind washing away all her troubles. Heart pounding Polly whirled around in a desperate attempt to understand what was happening. The quaffle she saw was slowly making its way towards the ground. Tipping her body forward she nudged the broom downwards. Polly pulled of a move which resembled the wronski fiat (sp?) but of course she caught the quaffle and held it tightly under her arm.

Swinging the broom upwards Polly flew in a diagonal line towards the goals. The quaffle tucked under her arm. With such concentration she didn’t notice the laughter rising from the audience as they all saw that her quidditch kit was tucked into her underware.

(Ravenclaw Chaser)

Stephy watched as Rai walked out onto the pitch and releashed the balls. She eyed him as he mounted his broom and soared into the air. Rai than dropped the Quaffle and Stephy flew towards the balls eager to get the game started. It has been ages since she had last played this position. Stephy was just a little saddened by the fact that there wasn't any opponets on the field.

Stephy crossed the path of the Quaffle and easily snatched it up. She held the red ball close to her chest as she zoomed down the field. There wasn't anyone she had to worry about and she knew that she was safe from any oncoming Bludgers. Afterall the beaters were there to prtect her and there wasn't any of the Hufflepuff'sBeaters there to attack her with one.

Stephy eaisly made her way down to the other side of the goal posts and slowed down as she neared the hoops. She didn't want to fly at them too quickly in fear of missing the hoop. oh man I wish I had perfect aim she thought as she threw the Quaffle towards the post. She didn;t throw it too hard not wanting to miss it

(Ravenclaw Seeker)

Elladora zoomed along the stands until she heard the familiar thump of the Beater's bat against the Bludger. She knew one of those Bludgers could seriously damage her, but if she moved out of the move too soon, it would be all for nothing. Then again, if she waited too long, her skull could get cracked open. Elladora chanced her health and continued her path.

When she began to hear the Bludger, she pulled out ninety degrees to her left. This obviously ended up being the wrong way to go as the Bludger ended just missing the tail of her broom by a few inches. Elladora took note of that, but grinned, as the Devious Dove had been successsfully executed.

Elladora was about to chase after the Bludger, then remembered that she needed to find the Snitch and zoomed fifteen feet higher into the air, giving Elana a thumbs-up as she crossed her path. "Nice hit!" she called, then began searching the field for the Snitch.
