The posts can begin on Tuesday 18th November - not before!
and will end on Saturday 22nd November - 5 days of rpg posting!

When you post - please put your position and team (eg. Gryffindor Beater) in brackets before you begin the RPG post - otherwise your post will be void of any points!

Concentrate on building your points up and please read how the matches are scored!

Weather: Gray clouds cover the sky as a chill breeze crosses the pitch.

Remember to observe the new Quidditch rules: day one is for arriving to the pitch, after which the referee will post and the game can properly begin and chasers can no longer immediately state that they have scored. They must wait for the Keeper to post. See the howler in the main forum for more info.

Raistlin rushed to the pit carrying the wooden box with the Quidditch Balls. Quickly he cast a glance aournd and saw NO ONE! putting it on the ground and tipping it with his wand it flew open and the balls wetn soaring.

Getting up in his broom he flew to the middle of the pitch, released the Quaffle and blew the whistle.

"Game started! I dont care no one's here"

Elana

(RAVENCLAW BEATER)

Oh. My. Goodness.

The Quidditch match between their team and Hufflepuff's couldn't be today...or was it? That thought suddenly striking her as she strolled down the stairs for a nice hot breakfast caused Elana to stop in her tracks. She frantically took out her day planner - of course, she hadn't bothered to look at it before leaving her dorm - and in color coded letters it was spelled out for her. If only she actually used the darn thing regularly! A nice hot breakfast? Naw. She sprinted down into the hall and grabbed a bagel, not even pausing to make sure she got a favorite. Taking a bite out of it, she tasted pumpernickel, but forced down the bite, resisting the urge to spit it out. She needed sustenance to play, even if it came from that horrid substance that totally disgraced the otherwise good name of bagels.

Elana hurried to the locker rooms as quickly as she could, hugging herself for warmth, not wanting to be out in the cold and wind any longer than she had to. Luckily, she thought she remembered putting some leg warmers and an extra pair of gloves in her locker, which would help keep her a bit warmer when she was playing. As she ran, she took a look up at the sky, noting that it matched the cold. No sunshine today. She jumped into the locker room and changed fast, tugging on the blue and black striped leg warmers atop her jeans, felt gloves underneath her Beater gloves. She tied her hair back into a braid, not wanting it loose and hitting her in the face. Elana grabbed her bat and broom and left the locker room for the great outdoors.

And no one was there.

Seriously, nobody.

There were a couple die hard fans in the stands, but besides that, the pitch was empty. She took a look up at the sky again, and saw that it was just gray clouds - no players. Letting out a frustrated whimper, she swung a leg over her broom and kicked off from the ground. She hovered in the air, not too high and with the stands blocking the worst of the wind, to wait it out. If her team and the other one showed up, at least it would get her blood moving again. But if not...well, she'd be able to leave early and regain feeling in her toes, right?

Herbaceoustraitorous

(Ravenclaw Beater)

Walking into the kitchen to get more tea, Herby realized there was a note under her door. What in the world? Glancing down she saw stickers attached to the envelope and a glossy red ink pen that say HERBY.

Smirking, she was sure there was only one person in the world who would paste that many stickers on one envelope; Elana. Opening the letter, she gasped. The letter almost screamed at her to get onto the pitch, NOW!! How could I forget. Dropping the letter, Herby gather up her gear and headed out the door.

As she was walking towards the pitch, she couldn't believe how windy it was. Burrr, her teeth chattered as she entered the locker room. As fast as she could, she got dressed and added another sweater due to the coolness. Thank goodness she came prepared.

As she gripped her broomstick and lifted off, Herby realized that the balls had already been released. Gah! And of course Elana was there, and ready for action. Smiling, Herby thanked her for the wonderful letter.

(Ravenclaw Chaser) XD

Kim rolled over in her bead dreaming of the beloved place she would soon be for her Thanksgiving Break. Alabama, USA- she loved it there. As her brain started functioning, she went over what she would do for the day when she suddenly remembered Quidditch. Growling at herself for forgetting, as was usual, she hopped out of bed. Rummaging around, she found her shoes and some clothes that would make do for her present needs, including her favorite Fox sweater. Kim sprinted out the door and down the stairs, forgetting to grab some food in her way past the Great Hall.

Kim was jogging down the hill to the pitch when she noticed that the balls had been released and that there were 2 people in the air, thankfully they were Ravens. Kim waved at them as she ran into the locker rooms. She threw on her robes and left her hair loose around her face. She geared up and then started walking out when mid-step she realized that she left her broom in her locker. Whoops! Can't play without that. How could I forget the essential item of this game?? Kim grabbed her broom and walked out to the pitch, hoping that she wasn't losing it, or if she was, that she would find "it" fast.

She saw the Quaffle falling to the ground, and flew over to it and swooped it up. Kim decided there was no need for fancy tricks or lingering, since she was already late, so she hustled right over to the opposite territry of the pitch. SHe could see the huge hoops growing as she got closer and decided to throw the ball into the center hoop. SHe got up to the hoop, about 5 yards away, and effortlessly tossed the ball directly towards the center of it. Surely there is no way that would miss, it has to go in, she thought.

Vulcan/Blackjack

(Hufflepuff Seeker and Co -Captain)

Skie rolled out of bed, cursing the brokenness of her alarm clock and muttering profanities under her breath. "Clock. makers. should. die. horrible. deaths. when. their. clocks. don't. work." Running down the stairs out of her dorm, Skie saw that the common room was totally empty and eerily silent. THEY'RE ALL AT THE QUIDDITCH GAME YOU HALF MINDED GORILLA BRAIN! Rushing out of the door and praying that she wasn't going to be late, late, late (which of course, she was), Skie bit her lip and bounded down the stairs two at a time. Seeing that that was only going to make her go slower because she would have to steady herself after every jump, Skie took the only other option she saw. Banister sliding it was. One leg on each side of the magnificent stair case, Skie looked down and gulped. "Ready... set... GO!" Pushing off, Skie sent herself hurtling backwards down the slick wood and zooming past perplexed looking students. One problem though. The landing. At the end of each staircase was a large, elegantly carved wooden pole. Stately and solid, these wooden poles would lead to a torturous end and doubtless trip to the infirmary for the young banister slider. Summoning all of her muscle that had come from years of quidditch practice, Skie watched as the huge looming threat got closer, and closer, and then, Skie jumped off the banister. Slamming herself into the opposite side of the stair case and tumbling down a few steps to lay with her limbs spread out all over the floor, Skie hopped off with but a few bruises and a possible head injury that could have left her even more crazy than before. Laughing hysterically as she continued her mad dash for the quidditch pitch, Skie sprinted through the quidditch locker room and whisked away her cloak and broom.

Jumping out onto the pitch with a sudden "Ta- da!" moment, Skie realized with dismay that not only was she the only Hufflepuff on the field, but it was also freezing cold out. Wishing mournfully for a vacation to Hawaii, Skie mounted Timothy and launched herself into the air. The game was already in full throttle, or as full throttle as it could be with only one team on the pitch and already, a Ravenclaw had thrown something into the hoop and it was heading towards the goal. Meh Trying not to think about anything but the totally obvious fact that she need need needed to locate and catch the snitch, Skie found herself puzzled with an awkward tingling in her fingertips. Looking down, Skie saw her fingers turning red and realized that she needed gloves or her poor fingers were going to be too numb to grasp onto anything. Checking her pockets, Skie thanked the quidditch gods that her gloves from the last practice were still there. Slipping them on, Skie scanned the pitch warily for bludgers and her beloved snitch alike. "Where's my cute baby?" Skie sang out onto the pitch with a maniacal grin.

Elana

(RAVENCLAW BEATER)

"H-H-Herby!" Elana exclaimed, the bitter cold making her shiver. "Y-y-you got my letter? Did you like the stickers? I picked them out specially for you," she said, her purpling lips turning up at the corners in a smile. Just then, Kim arrived! Elana called out a hello, and Kimmy went right to business. She snatched up the Quaffle, flew to the Hufflepuff's end of the pitch, and threw it to a goal! Elana desperately hoped it had gone in - winning today's game would make up for having to be out in the elements. After Kim tried a goal, Skie of Hufflepuff came! The lone Huffle went looking for the Snitch, and Elana turned to her fellow Beater.

"Guess we have a job to do now, right? Up for some tennis?"

She grinned and took off towards a Bludger. Tennis was a relatively simple Beater maneuver where two Beaters would share a Bludger. One would start out with it, and the other fly up ahead. The first Beater would pass to the second, and would then be passed to. In this fashion, they would move up the pitch to their target. Unfortunately for Skie, she was their target this time. Elana caught up with a Bludger and hit it up to Herby, then sped up, getting ready to "catch" the Bludger when it came back to her.
