Due
to other commitments, our Transfiguration Professor is taking a step back
from moderator duties for a while, which leaves an opening for the
position.

If you would like to apply for the position, please do so below.

* You must be at least 2nd year to apply
* You must be prepared to create and grade classes regularly
* You must have a fair head ie: you must be able to grade fairly no matter what house you belong to.
*
You must have good knowledge of the rules and running of the site and
keep to these rules at all time. Professors jobs can not be given to
members who break the rules as they are here for the safety and fun of
everyone.

If you are already a professor and wish to

I am applying for the Transfiguration Professor position because I love transfiguration and in real life my major is education so I thought I could apply it here. I've been on the site for about a year now and I'm online at least once a day so I would be able to stay on top of classes. I would be able to grade fairly no matter what house my students were in. I believe that I could help keep people active with my classes. I hope you consider me for the job.

Class Example: Creating A Spell for changing a kitten into a mitten.

Today's lesson is creating a spell for turning a kitten into a mitten. You must explain in no less then 100 words what you say, the movements of your wand, and what this transformation looks like. This assignment is worth up to 50 house points, up to 10 point for each section listed above plus 10 point for answering the two question below. The more detailed the more points you recieve. Questions must be answered with a 4 sentence minimum.

The Questions:

1. How important is it to transfigure animals and objects corecttly and why?
2. Can incomplete transfigurations be dangerous? How so?

I’m applying because I have been a member for over an year and Transfiguration sounds like a good subject. Plus, most of my friends on the site are in different houses, so I can be fair when giving grades, no matter how much I would want my house to win. If they deserve it, they get the grade they deserve. I know all the rules and I’m on everyday, unless for an emergencies. I can keep the class up to date and make sure to make all the classes clear for them to understand, seeing as I do get the notation of being confusing to others. I'm also a prefect so I know the responsiblity that should be ahead if I do make this. This is one of the classes in the book that really made me want to try most of the spells, or learn them.

EX:

Animagi

Part One:

Threw the ages, many people have been able to turn into an animagus. Though it’s a higher branch of magic, few have tried and succeeded in becoming one. It was discovered, by Hermione, how many there have been during the 20 century. Now your job is to find out how many there have been registered, plus how many HAVEN’T been registered. (25 points)

Part Two:

Now that you have found out those who have and haven’t been registered, you write an essay on why it’s important to be registered. Try to answer these questions into the essay. What could happen if you didn’t get registered and were caught? Do you believe it’s fair they need to be registered? Do you think it was wrong for those who didn’t tell to use their magic ability for they used it for? Must be longer then 200 words and can be over that. (60 points)

Part Three:

Now that that’s done, do you believe you could be one of the lucky few who could become one? If so, what do you think you would be? Why would be what you are? What features would you have that a regular animal wouldn’t have? How long would it take? Would you get registered? And what would you use you ability for? ( 30 points)

*if you have already taken your animagus exam, please use another animal and this does not count for then exam*

BONUS:

Find a picture and edit it with the featured marks you would have on your animal body.( 5 points)

I reckon I should get the post for Transfiguration teacher because:
I am an extremely active person, I think I'm on more than most here. I also have (like violetriddle) many friends in different houses, I would be able to grade fairly and responsively. I am a prefect, I've been given this limelight, and I haven't yet gone power mad and taken over the whole of the site... I think I could cope with a few more tweaks to my position here at Hogwarts Experience. Having read every Harry Potter book (I know everyone else here has... but i thought I should state the obvious) I know, every Transfiguration spell there is, and I have many idea's for new spells and what new spells could do. I also think I could bring the element of fun into the subject. It has been unactive for a while and I think some magnificant mini games, hularious homeworks and super spell casting would really bring the popularity of Transfiguration back here at Hogwarts Experience. And as you have probibly noticed I have wrote the most :D So I WIN!

Homework Idea.

What would MaGonnagall do?

Prof. MaGonnagall is walking down the mabrle staircase. She is only half way down one flight of stairs when a big massive Dragon comes roaring towards her. What will she do?

As you can see I wrote as little there as possible. This is so you can make up the specifics yourself. You should write a story around 500 words on how the Professor gets through this ordeal. You will recieve 100 housepoints for completing this class. The person who wins will get an extra 50 points. That's 150 points for the person who can write the most descriptive story about Professor MaGonnagall and the giant Dragon.
