| Tarot debate
Hey guys were gonna do something a little different this time and focus on tarot readings. Elfie posted an assignment on them once before. http://hogwarts-experience.heavenforum.com/completed-ancient-rune-classes-f65/runes-v-tarot-t2145.htm
But this time I want you to debate.
Simple question do you think that tarot reading is really a form of rune reading?
There’s a possible of 50 house points available depending on the participation. With an extra 10 house points for the best debater.
Have fun! _________________ |

| To start the debate Standing for: Tarot reading is not a form of rune reading.
Tarot reading is NOT a form of rune reading. One big fact that'll support that would be their difference in terms of casting. Divination of rune is not fortunetelling, it is said to be | Quote: | | for analyzing the path that one is on and the likely outcome | , where as for tarot reading, it is and has been used for fortunetelling. | I do agree that it is not a type of rune reading since it does not usually contain runes on it, but I do not agree with Sashi's explanation of the difference. | Quote: | | for analyzing the path one is on and the likely outcome |
Both do that. Fortunetelling, though an extremely archaic term and looked down up by many psychics, is basically just like the quote above. It will not tell the future, but a possible outcome based on your path. And like with rune readings, it will give the psychic advice to tell you on how to get there or what you should change.
So then what would be a difference? Well ruin readings contain runes and tarot reading use cards. Sometimes readers will use a stone or rune to charge a deck, but even then I wouldn't call it a ruin reading since there are no runes being read.
