Part One:

1) What was your question?

“How am I going to do in school this year?”

2) What was your reading?

Quote:
EIHWAZ (Ēoh). Eihwaz represents the Yew tree and its everlasting nature. The Yew may bend, but it does not break. You are on the right course and have the strength and ability to meet your goals. Congratulations!

3) How do you think this pertains to your question?

I’m going to take it sentence by sentence to make it easier for all of us

Eihwaz represents the Yew tree and its everlasting nature. The “everlasting nature” part stands out the most for me in this. For the most part I have always done well in school, and so I’m hoping that this means that this will continue.

The Yew may bend, but it does not break. Hmm…This one is a little more tricky. How “it does not break” could mean that my willingness to do well would not be pushed aside or something along those lines.

You are on the right course and have the strength and ability to meet your goals. Congratulations! –meaning that I’m doing the right things to do well this year. Yes!!!

4) How does this help you with your question?

It’s giving me encouragement and shows that I know what to do during this school year to make it a good one.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question?

Yep, I do. As my question was about how I will do this year at school, I believe it’s saying that I shall do quite well

Part Two:

1) What was your question?

“Do I have anything to worry about?”

2) What was your reading?

Quote:
LAGUZ (Lagu) REVERSED. Laguz reversed foretells a period of stagnation, sensual numbness and lack of creativity.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question?

shock

I do not like the “lack of creativity” part, not at all. I’m going to be taking a drawing class and I need my creativity! I also would like to improve on my graphic making skills and that can’t happen if I’m not feeling creative…

4) How does this help you with your question?

Well, it’s telling me that I’m going to have to work on things that I haven’t really had to worry about before- like in art.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question?

I hope it didn’t, heh.

Part Three:

Within Runic divination, there are many different forms of rune castings. Choose one and explain its significance and tell me a little bit about it. How might that particular cast aid you to answer the questions you seek?

I believe that the Celtic Ogham Cast would work best for the questions I'd like to know the answers to. Supposedly it relates to what's going on in the life of the questioner, and that's what I would love insight into. These runes were found on stones found mostly within Ireland, but in Cornwall, Western Scotland, Wales, the Shetland Islands, and Western Scotland too, and it was the only written alphabet before the Christians came and taught Latin. Each letter of this alphabet corresponds with a tree that the Irish thought it fit well with. This means that the letters on the stones meant more than one word each- the qualities of the certain trees are involved, therefore making it more complex.

(Sorry Lily, that was horrible XD)

Ginny
Part One:

1) What was your question? (2)
My question was “Will I pass all of my classes next year?” I chose this question because at my high school I am going into my junior year-which is said to be extremely difficult, so, naturally, I am slightly worried.

2) What was your reading? (3)
The reading I got was this:
WYRD (Woden). Trust in yourself and in life itself. Accept your past, present and future. Be open all possibilities as influences are out of your control.

I personally think that it’s very intriguing that I ‘picked’ this particular rune. I shall explain why in the following question.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)
My question is mostly me showing insecurity in my abilities as a student. The first thing in the reading says that I need to ‘trust in yourself and in life itself’. In the past I haven’t done so well in courses because I counted myself out before the fight-I need to accept that and move on, what’s past is past. If I believe I can do something and put my mind to it, I will have a much easier time. I need to be able to adapt, as well.

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)
I think that the Wyrd stone is basically telling me not to give up or get discouraged too easily. I have to grit my teeth, look myself square in the eye (in a mirror) and say “You can do this!” and then I must go and do it. No whining or complaining about it. If there are problem, I have to work through them and work until I finish. The mistakes of the past are in the past, and now it’s time to get ready for a shiny new future.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)
Yes, I think that what I have understood from the runes makes a lot of sense. The question I asked was answered in a way that I could understand, and not in some ‘randomly far out there’ way that wouldn’t help me at all. I also think that the outcome shall help me in the next few days as I ready myself for my junior year, which is quite the scary thought. However, I now have faith in myself

Total possible points: 20

Part Two:

Ask another question and repeat the questions from part one.

1) What was your question? (2)
The question I asked this time around is this: “Will Hufflepuff win the Quidditch and House Cup?”

2) What was your reading? (3)
After I asked the runes my question, I ‘picked’ the following runic reading:
“ŪRUZ (Ūr) REVERSED. Uruz reversed may represent a time of discord in your life and a disassociation from your inner strengths. You may be in a rut—absent of goals or challenges. The power to change this lies within you. While opportunities may seem to be non-existent, they are there and waiting for you to find them.”

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)
Truthfully, upon first reading this, I became quite worried for my House. But, I think that it is talking about how previously, the Hufflepuffs were indeed in quite the slump. They had the talents necessary to do well-past achievements have proved that-but many lacked the motivation. Like me in my previous questions, they could achieve greatness-if they only tried. Although it may seem impossible for them, Hufflepuffs can rise above.

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)
The outcome to this reading, like the previous one, has definitely given me hope, only instead of for myself, for Hufflepuff house. It describes the situation it seems to be in very well-somewhat in a rut, but able to get out of said rut at any time if they simply put in the good effort. Being in that house, I shall be sure to motivate my housemates into doing just that as often as I possibly can.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)
Although it seemed a bit...depressing at first, the outcome did relate to my question. It also helped me realize how to fix Hufflepuff’s future so that is a glorious one that ithey all can be proud of.

Total possible points: 20

Part Three:

Within Runic divination, there are many different forms of rune castings. Choose one and explain its significance and tell me a little bit about it. How might that particular cast aid you to answer the questions you seek? (10)

The method of runecasting that I chose is called Calling the Norns. Now, the Norns were the Norse goddesses of fate, and runes came from the Norsemen. The Norns were ‘Urdh’ (past/what has been), Verdhandi (present/what is), and Skuld (future/what will be). The Norns casting is incredibly simple. To set up the casting, you would find a quiet place to think and then place a white cloth on which to place your runes in front of you. Concentrating on your question, you would mix the runes in the bag you had to hold them in. When you felt that is was time, you would draw three runes, one at a time, and place them on the cloth. If needed be, the runes must be turned so they are all facing upward and right-side up. The first rune represents the past, the second the present, and the third is the future if you continue on the path you are currently on. Then, you would interpret the runes in correspondence with your questions. Sometimes, this part is easy, other times, it can be quite difficult.

Casting the Norns would help me answer both of my questions because the actions of the past influenced where I and Hufflepuff house ended up in the present. If we continue, we would see the possible future. However, if we make an effort towards change, the future could be turned for the better.

Part One:

1) What was your question? (2)
Will I do all right with school this year?
Stress wise more than grades. I have big problems with stress.

2) What was your reading? (3)
INGWAZ (Ing). Ingwaz signifies completion, success and fertility. Your present ambitions are about to be met. You are fecund in both mind and body.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)
Hm. It sounds like I will be all right this year but I don't know about fertility. XD.
It seems like it is saying not to worry about it, that I will make it.

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)
It gives me a boost of confidence and hope.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)
I think it has a little to do with the question. It says I will reach my goals my goal is to make it through the year.

Part Two:

1) What was your question? (2)
I thought "Do I have anything to worry about?" was a good question so I asked that.

2) What was your reading? (3)
EHWAZ (Eh). Ehwaz represents movement. You may be closing in on reaching your current goals. Your life may be changing for the better. Harmony with others should come easy for you at this time.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)
I think it says that I do not have anything to worry about, that I am heading for better times.

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)
It gives me a bit of hope but I always have tons to worry about so I don't really take it seriously.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)
Meh. See above answer? XD I suppose it does, I just don't believe this one.

Part One:

1) What was your question? (2)
Will I be a great professor?

2) What was your reading? (3)
Quote:
FEHU (Feoh) REVERSED. Fehu reversed represents material stagnation, possibly poverty as well as infertility.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)
This Rune symbolises physical, financial needs, prosperity, money, promotion and self-esteem. So I guess this rune is saying that you will be rewarded for past efforts.

I really don’t get the whole stagnation and poverty as well as infertility. Like what the heck does that mean???

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)
Uh, it doesn’t. Pretty much it told me the same thing that’s common knowledge within societies; that you need to work hard for it to show.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)
Yes. Pretty much my question was asking about me doing a great job as a professor, and the answer was based on common knowledge that you need to work hard to get it. But it’s great to hear that it is possible.

Total possible points: 20

Part Two:

Ask another question and repeat the questions from part one.

1) What was your question? (2)
Will my College course go well?

2) What was your reading? (3)
Quote:
SŌWULŌ (Sigel). The Sun Rune, denotes power and strength. That which you want may be attained. Sōwulō also denotes mental clarity and added warmth to your relationships.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)
This Rune symbolises success, positive energy, increase, power, activity, fertility and health; meaning that success comes from all the things listed in the above statement. This could be a good opportunity to actually sit down and have positive energy and increase my activity towards this new program.

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)
It means that I must believe in myself and work really hard to fully succeed in my program. This is a great learning factor to hear that I will have success.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)
Possibly, but its hard to tell.

Total possible points: 20

Part Three:

Within Runic divination, there are many different forms of rune castings. Choose one and explain its significance and tell me a little bit about it. How might that particular cast aid you to answer the questions you seek? (10)

The Scatter: This cast is hard for beginners to learn, but has a huge impact. How you use this is by reaching into the runes and grabbing a handful. Then you scatter them before you. Which ever ones lie closer to you are the ones that are within the closet time period. This means that it’s the closet relation to your situation. Those that are farther away are for the future. Make sure you note which ones are closer for it will effect how the reading will turn out. After all is said and done just remember to allow your intuition to reign free, for the divine meanings of the placement will shine through your runes.

Part One:

1) What was your question? (2)

Why am I in Ravenclaw?

2) What was your reading? (3)

EIHWAZ (Ēoh). Eihwaz represents the Yew tree and its everlasting nature. The Yew may bend, but it does not break. You are on the right course and have the strength and ability to meet your goals. Congratulations!

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)

I think that it is saying that I was put in Ravenclaw so that I will gain the strength and ability to accomplish any goals I have set for myself. It also says that I will not give up which is kind of true.

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)

Well it makes me feel like I am in the right house. That with my intellect I could do wonders for it if I keep my mind on it.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)

I don’t think so. I asked it why I was in Ravenclaw and it told me to keep up with what I am doing. I wanted to know why I was destined for this house and it did not give me that answer.

Total possible points: 20

Part Two:

Ask another question and repeat the questions from part one.

1) What was your question? (2)

Will Ravenclaw win the house cup this year?

2) What was your reading? (3)

JĒRA (Gēr). Jēra denotes positive, recurring cycles, fertility and a time to harvest rewards from your hard work.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)

It is saying that so long as we work hard at it that we have a chance of winning it. Is our member participate in enough activities that happen in the site then we would have a earn enough house points, that our hard work will be paid nicely.

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)

Well it makes me feel better about us Raven winning the house cup. With enough hard work from all of our members we could win the cup.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)

Yes it does. I asked it if we were going to win and it replied that we would if we work hard enough for it. I know for sure that we Ravens will win the house cup sooner or later.

Total possible points: 20

Part Three:

Within Runic divination, there are many different forms of rune castings. Choose one and explain its significance and tell me a little bit about it. How might that particular cast aid you to answer the questions you seek? (10)

I would pick the Persona Cast. These rune casts explore your personality which helps you get your answer. I think that this one would be the best one because it deals with your personality. How you act is a huge impact on what will happen to you in your life. If this one was used it would focus on your personality and be able to tell your destiny better because it will know what path you will take

Ancient Runes: Divination

Part One:

1) What was your question? (2)
Will Hufflepuff win the house cup in the 4th term?

2) What was your reading? (3)
Quote:
BERKANA (Beorc). Berkana is the Rune of birth and rebirth. This may symbolise a time when you are capable of great personal growth. Love may be in the air as well.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)
It says that this term is something new and since Hufflepuff didn't win last (3rd) term, it may mean that Hufflepuffs win the 4th term. Since the each hufflepuff can 'grow' this term and achieve the cup

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)
It says that it's time for something new and that may mean that Hufflepuffs can win this term!

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)
Not really. It said since it's a new term, Hufflepuffs can 'grow' stronger and win the cup but it didn't say that Hufflepuff can and will win the cup for sure.

Total possible points: 20

Part Two:

1) What was your question? (2)
Will I have a great new school year?

2) What was your reading? (3)
Quote:
ĪSA (Īs). The Ice Rune, represents stagnation and a passionless existence. Your life's course may seem blurry at the moment, but if you persevere you will move onto better days.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)
It says that even though I'm not sure what will happen in the future, if I try my best, I can have 'better days' or in this case, a good school year.

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)
Yes. It says that the school year may be great if I keep trying my best so I'll just have to persevere all year!

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)
Kind of. It says that the year can be great if I work hard, but it doesn't answer my question of will my year be great for sure.

Total possible points: 20

Part Three:

Within Runic divination, there are many different forms of rune castings. Choose one and explain its significance and tell me a little bit about it. How might that particular cast aid you to answer the questions you seek? (10)
The Scatter- you have to reach into the runes, grab some and literally scatter them (as the name says) before you. The ones nearest to you means they are the closest things that will come true, and the further ones are the ones that will happen more far in the future. Also if two or more runes are close to each other, that may symbolize something.
Another way is to scatter them in a pattern of a horoscope divided into the 12 houses and position of them indicates the area the life that is affected

1) What was your question? (2)
Why am I in hufflepuff?

GEBŌ (Gyfu). Gebō represents the coming of gifts and favours. While each are usually positive events, they often carry obligations with them. Gebō often represents strong bonds such as deep friendships and marriage

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)
It says that 'Gebo' gave me the gift/favor of being in Hufflpuff because I really wanted to get sorted in Hufflepuff in the first place

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)
Because it tells me why I'm sorted into Hufflepuff by saying that they 'gave' me Hufflepuff

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)
Yes. Because it answers my question

Total possible points: 20

Part Two:

Part One:

1) What was your question? (2)
Will I make new friends this year at HE?

2) What was your reading? (3)
Quote:
WYRD (Woden). Trust in yourself and in life itself. Accept your past, present and future. Be open all possibilities as influences are out of your control.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)

I definitely need to be open to all different types of people in making new friends, especially branching out from my Hufflepuff friends to other houses. I also need to show my true colors and be my true self around these new friends.

[b]4) How does this help you with your question? (5)

Now I know that maybe I'll make really good friends with a Gryffindor or Slytherin! Before, I probably wouldn't have let my guard down in my friend making and just stuck with Hufflepuffs, but this reading definitely shows the importance of inter-house relationships.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)
Definitely! Although it doesn't seem to at first, once you think about it, it really does. Now I know to act myself around all HE Students!

Part Two:

Ask another question and repeat the questions from part one.

1) What was your question? (2)
Will I be a good Huffle Watcher?

2) What was your reading? (3)
Quote:
GEBŌ (Gyfu). Gebō represents the coming of gifts and favours. While each are usually positive events, they often carry obligations with them. Gebō often represents strong bonds such as deep friendships and marriage.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)
By being selected as Huffle Watcher, I have been given the gift of responsibility. By maintaining my post, the positive event, winning the house cup, will occur. However, being Huffle Watcher means I need to check for new posts on a daily basis, and my work will help us Huffles develop deep Huffle friendships!

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)
I know that my hard work as Huffle Watcher will definitely pay off, and we have an excellent chance at the house cup.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)
Definitely! Work as Huffle Watcher is very important to Huffle success!

Part Three:

Within Runic divination, there are many different forms of rune castings. Choose one and explain its significance and tell me a little bit about it. How might that particular cast aid you to answer the questions you seek? (10)

The Nine-Runes Cast gives a synopsis of one's complete life which deeply delves into challenges and obstacles in their spirit and possible solutions to these encumbrances. Based on Norse mythology, the use of the magical number nine is vital. One must pick 9 runes from a pouch, hold them in his/her hands momentarily, focus on the question or problem at hand, and scatter the runes on the surface in from of him/her. First, one should read the runes that face up to find relation to the current existence of the person. Usually the runes at the center of the pile hold more significance in the reading than those on the edges, which represent overall influences. Then, one should flip over the runes that fell face down without changing their positions. These runes represent the future and outer influences, thus displaying possible solutions to one's question or problem. At this point, reading is subjective in terms of degree and angle of each rune, however, the system you utilize must have consistency. Finally, one should not read too much into shapes made by haphazardly dropped runes, for he/she may then make a possibly self-fulfilled prophecy.

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)
It shows what I mentioned above.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)

Part One

1) What was your question?
Is my life going to be a long and happy one?

2)What was your reading?
KĒNAZ (Cēn) REVERSED. Kēnaz reversed represents a lack of needed knowledge and possible isolation. Information you may need is being withheld from you, or you may not be open to receiving it. Although others may seem distant, if you seek their friendship you may be pleasantly surprised.

3)How do you think this pertains to your question?
Yes, well sort of.It tells me what i have to do to do this.

4) How does this help you with your question?
As i said above.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question?
A bit

Part two

[u/]1)What was your question?[/u]
Am I going to get good grades in both school and Hogwarts Experience?

2)What was your reading?
NAUÞIZ (Nyd) REVERSED. Nauþiz (Nauthiz) reversed may tell of needs met and harmonious relationships. Your passions for someone or something may be at their pinnacle.

3)How do you think this pertains to your question?
In all truth only the fist sentance as anywhere near relivant, true. But the second line has nothing to do with the question!!

4) How does this help you with your question?
This just tells me not to have arguments with anyone who's close to me and keep my eye on the goal. Second line- completly over my head. (when you mark this tell me what you think)

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question?
No, not at all

Part Three:

Within Runic divination, there are many different forms of rune castings. Choose one and explain its significance and tell me a little bit about it. How might that particular cast aid you to answer the questions you seek?

Rune-tines (such as ice-cream sticks on which the rune symbols are inscribed) work best for casting on the ground. These are useed simply by tossing all 24 onto the ground and reading the runes which land upright, in the positions in which they land. Their relative positions give their relations. For example, if two upright runes are close or touching and lying nearly parallel, then the runes are related. If they cross, then they are in opposition. There are obviously many degrees of this, and you also have to consider groups of runes, and ones which are far away, and the general direction. This technique relies heavily on intuition, since it doesn't have a spread to lay the runes in, like tarot would use. Between 4 and 8 runes generally land upright, which is about right for most inquiries.[b]

PostSubject: Re: Ancient Runes: Divination CLOSING OCT 7TH   Fri 24 Aug - 3:44

Part One:

1) What was your question?
Will I get the house on Schooner Drive? I asked this question because we are currently looking for a house to rent, and I love this one! Well, the house is beautiful (the master bath is unbelievable!) but more than anything it is in the perfect, perfect neighborhood.

2) What was your reading?
ĐAGAZ (Dæg). Đagaz represents the fresh light of a new day. You are close to making a breakthrough. You have the will to change whatever you deem necessary. You may see the world with absolute clarity at this time.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question?
I think it means that if I want it I can have it, that I will find a way to make moving work for us. My father-in-law is coming to live with us, which is the change and the new day. Close to making a breakthrough means to me that after searching so many house listings, that this is the one for us!

4) How does this help you with your question?
It clarifies for me that I am not just acting on a gut reaction, that this house fits our needs as well as our desires. The reading also made me realize that no matter what house we end up renting I can make it work!

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question?
I do think that it gives me a better feeling of confidence. It's so easy for me to get distracted and excited by practically every house I see, but the fact that I this one house stands out points to it being the one.

Part Two:

Ask another question and repeat the questions from part one.

1) What was your question?
Will Aaron's dad coming to live with us work out?

2) What was your reading?
MANNAZ (Man) REVERSED. Mannaz reversed may indicate you are in a period of depression. Be careful when making serious decisions at this time. Trust only those whom time has proven trustworthy

3) How do you think this pertains to your question?
Obviously I have apprehensions about Frank coming to live with us, and the house hunting has at times put me in a funk. However the second part of the reading says I can trust those who have proven trustworthy, which my father-in-law has done. It is a serious decision having him come live with us, but it is one that had to be made.

4) How does this help you with your question?
I'm taking the second part of the reading to mean trusting in myself as well. I know that if something were to happen to Frank that we could have prevented by taking care of him that it would haunt us forever. He's not interested in moving in to senior assitance living, so this is the decision that we have to go with, and both readings have helped clarify that.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question?
Not really, we have already made the offer to have him come live with us and are in the middle of a house hunt. But I do feel a little better that I have made the right decision, as it is something that we have considered doing for the last four or so years.

Total possible points: 20

Part Three:

Within Runic divination, there are many different forms of rune castings. Choose one and explain its significance and tell me a little bit about it. How might that particular cast aid you to answer the questions you seek?
Seven Rune Layout- I chose this reading because I believe the number 7 to be very powerful and feel a natural draw to it. The reading gives more detail than the five rune layout, and not only tells you how to deal with your problem, but also how you got in the sitituation in the first place. The reading tends to concentrate on the last three months and the next three months of your life, so if that stretch of time does not suit you, you will need to have a time frame fixed in your mind when asking your question. Because there are seven runes being drawn you can ask broader questions rather than a "yes" or "no" question needed for other rune readings. In my opinion that is a very good advantage to this type of rune casting, as the questions I have tend to be a bit more complicated than "Is he going to ask me out?". This is a difficult cast to do, and does take time and practice to learn to do it properly, but I like the idea of a reading that's more indepth.

PostSubject: Re: Ancient Runes: Divination CLOSING OCT 7TH   Sat 25 Aug - 20:38

Part One:

1) What was your question? (2)

Will I pass my exams?

2) What was your reading? (3)
WUNJŌ (Wyn). Wunjō denotes joy and shared bliss. It may also represent a job well done and the satisfaction one feels from completing such a task. Wunjō brings good fortune and harmony.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)
As the reading says, Wunjo may also represent a job well done, therefore I believe this may refer to myself possibly doing well in the exams and moving onto the next stage in University.

It also states that one feels satisfaction from completeing such a task. This may relate to the fact that I feel I have worked hard in order to pass this years exams and feel that I have proved to myself that I am capable of doing things when I put my mind to it.

The final passage - Wunjō brings good fortune and harmony - is simple enough. The good fortune is hopfully that I have indeed passed my exams and the harmony I feel relates to my course in a particular way, Drama, in which I must have good harmony with my fellow classmates.

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)
I believe that this reading provides what is hopfully an accurate insight into the outcome of this years exams. It is essential to have good harmony and a relaxed atmosphere with my classmates in the Drama course. In relation to the actual exams it is true that already I feel a sense of satisfaction in completeing the exams and hopfully if passed, that satisfaction will grow into joy, as it is said in the reading.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)
Certainly. I asked a simple enough question and recieved a simple enough outcome. I believe that with the whole harmony issue, it realtes to the harmony within the group I will enter into if the exams are passed. If good harmony isn't present within the group then it will have an effect on everywhere resulting in failure in future exams and performances. With the actual exams themselves, i believe that the feeling of satisfaction is indeed true - anone who just completes an exam feels some sense of satisfaction and relief.

Part Two:

Ask another question and repeat the questions from part one.

1) What was your question? (2)Will I remain in my job for the forseeable future?

2) What was your reading? (3)
EIHWAZ (Ēoh) REVERSED. This may be a time of confusion for you. That which you have built may be in jeopardy of crumbling. Do not allow yourself to give in to your weaknesses.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question? (5)
I believe that this reading explains that within my job I am having a confusing time as to stay in my position or leave to go elsewhere. As it is only a part-time job while I am at University, I occasionally consider leaving my place to work to find a different job. Thus the confusion part comes into play. Following that I am told to not give into my weaknesses – which I believe to be my attempt to stay and see something through, in this case, staying until I finish University. “That which you have built may be in jeopardy of crumbling.” This statement may refer to the fact that I have worked to stay at my current job and thus my thoughts on considering leaving may well ruin all that I have worked at within my job.

4) How does this help you with your question? (5)
I think that the reading is basically telling me to possibly make more of a commitment to my current job. Although I am confused as to stay in the job or not, the reading seems to be saying that I shouldn’t throw all that I have worked for to the side. The reading is encouraging me to be stronger and certainly not give into any weaknesses I have, to not be concerned about the job and focus more on being positive within the job.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question? (5)
Yes. The reading appears to be making a fair representation of what I am thinking and going through in terms of the confusion I am feeling with the job and it does seem to be advising correctly in relation to not following my weaknesses. It seems to foreshadow that if I do give into weaknesses then everything I have worked for will crumble, which in turn would devastate me.

Part Three:

Within Runic divination, there are many different forms of rune castings. Choose one and explain its significance and tell me a little bit about it. How might that particular cast aid you to answer the questions you seek? (10)

The form of Rune Casting I wish to focus on is that of ‘The Nornier State’ which is a three stone spread, which works well with yes/no queries. The stones are led in a straight line and follow the pattern fro left to right of answering a question showing the problem, the reason there is a problem and the solution. The reason I chose this form of rune casting is due to the simplicity of it. The questions in which I had asked in my rune castings were simple enough questions which can require a simple yes or no answer. The problem with this though, is that a person may not get in-depth readings. Some people prefer to have in-depth readings rather than a simple yes or no answer. Thus some people may be stuck in looking for a precise answer to whatever question they may have asked. It is one of the simplest castings to perform though and so would be easily enough for a beginner to perform. The stones must be laid out in the form of the following diagram:

Part One:

1) What was your question?
Will there be a relationship soon in my life?

2) What was your reading?
LAGUZ (Lagu). Laguz is the feminine Rune. It denotes a deep sexuality and fertility. Laguz also represents that which is ever changing and renewal. You may be in a tremendous spiritual growth period.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question?
I think it means it's time for a change in the guys I look for and that soon I will be happy (maybe with or without a boyfriend).

4) How does this help you with your question?
It seems like the reading is telling me to chill out and just let it happen and not try and figure out why I don't have one.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question?
Yeah, some. It also kinda seems like its talking about becoming more mature.

Part Two:

1) What was your question?
Will I do good this year in school?

2) What was your reading?
FEHU (Feoh) REVERSED. Fehu reversed represents material stagnation, possibly poverty as well as infertility.

3) How do you think this pertains to your question?
I don't think it does, but maybe since it's reversed and it has a bad connotation, I might do bad this school year.

4) How does this help you with your question?
It pretty much says I'm going to suck at school this year.

5) Do you think your outcome has anything to do with your question?
Hopefully not.

Part Three:

The Horseshoe Cast:
I chose this reading because I am always drawing arcs and i love to look at the half moon. This cast uses 21 runes, but it gives you a better view of your life. You put groups of 3 runes in the shape of a horseshoe or arch. Each arch is telling you about a different category.
The seven categories are:
1 The past situation.
2 The present situation.
3 Developments in the near future.
4 What you don't expect.
5 People around you.
6 Obstacles and opposition.
7 The outcome.
